Vegan lumpia recipe is appetizing, shatteringly crispy, filling with cabbage and herbs inside.
Lumpia is a various type of spring roll. Made from thin wrapper called “lumpia wrapper” and fill with whatever you wish.
In Indonesia, lumpia wrapper we can find at the supermarket, traditional market until small warung. The price between IDR 4000 – 7000/ pack at traditional market and warung, of course no brand. Well, it is okay, I want to help small business.
Lumpia commonly found in Indonesia and Philipphine and it is often served for snack or appetizer.
As my family loves to eat snacks, I made vegan lumpia quite often for afternoon tea. Although we can buy outside. But sometimes I didn’t get the taste that I like from the first bite, too oily also.
Then buy a lumpia for IDR 1.000/pcs I thought better I made by myself at home, get a ton of lumpia, store it in freezer, so when I need I can fry it straight away. It is simple and of course cheap! 🙂
Wait, what the filling inside of Lumpia?
There are definitely no rules for the filling inside of the lumpia. You may fill as you like or whatever you have. You can use tofu or maybe leftover fried chicken.
But mostly with chop meat, shredded chicken or mixed vegetables, like Cabbage, Napa cabbage, carrot, Bamboo shot even bean sprout.
There is a lot of vegan lumpia recipe on internet, and how to make a perfect wrapped. Unfortunately, I am not a chef. I just a mother who love to cook and once again, I think I don’t need necessary to write too long.
I just share the recipe to you, what I think good and tasty and you can try at home.
